Payments Canada releases 2022 to 2026 Corporate Plan

In this five-year period, we are operating new and enhanced systems.

Payments Canada’s 2022 to 2026 Corporate Plan, Accelerate and Enhance, communicates our strategy and progress-to-date on realizing our vision of a thoroughly modernized payment infrastructure that will benefit all Canadians.

Building off of the previous plan, the 2022 to 2026 planning period represents a time of transition as we deliver the Modernization program objectives set out in the 2016 Vision for the Canadian Payment Ecosystem. Three long-term strategic objectives guide Payments Canada into the 2022 to 2026 planning period:

• Deliver projects that modernize the Canadian payment systems.
• Operate and enhance current systems.
• Facilitate the payment ecosystem.
