Payments Canada publishes Cyber Resilience Strategy
Today, Payments Canada released its Cyber Resilience Strategy, a document outlining our strategic plan to continuously manage cyber risk, foster preparedness and drive resilience as we operate Canada’s national clearing and settlement systems.
Payments Canada plays a systemic role in the Canadian financial system and we secure the infrastructure by working directly with the Bank of Canada, financial regulators, the broader public sector, Canada’s national banks and the larger financial community to evolve cyber controls and keep pace with emerging threats. Payments Canada engages deeply with industry partners by leading regular exercises to evolve the end-to-end cyber resiliency within the wholesale payment system.
The Cyber Resilience Strategy discusses emerging threats from the ever-accelerating changes in technology and business, our security risk and governance practices, and our strategic activities for supporting cyber resilience within the financial sector.
