Payments Canada announces two Vice Presidents
Two senior leaders join organization’s Operational Leadership Team.
Payments Canada is pleased to confirm Matthew Charette as Vice President, Security and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and welcome Joseph Trohak as Vice President, Chief Architect and Data Officer (CADO).
Matthew Charette has been selected as the permanent Vice President, Security and CISO. He has been serving as interim CISO since April and has ably managed our corporate security program, including both cyber and physical security. During his tenure at Payments Canada, Matt has held increasingly senior roles in the security function, including as Director, Cybersecurity, and we are pleased that he will take on this CISO leadership role permanently.
Joseph Trohak joins Payments Canada in the new role of Vice President, CADO. He will be responsible for assessing the current and designing the future state of technology capabilities and products and lead and deliver the organization’s enterprise architecture mandate. He will also mature our data practice and drive the data governance mandate.
Joseph has extensive experience in information and cybersecurity, risk management, enterprise architecture and IT strategy. He was most recently with Scotiabank, where he was Vice President, Cyber Security and IT Risk. His experience also includes leadership positions in architecture at CIBC and HP Enterprise Solutions.
