Payments Canada announces Jude Pinto as Chief Delivery Officer

Payments Canada welcomes Jude Pinto to its Executive Leadership Team in the role of Chief Delivery Officer, effective May 8, 2023.

The Chief Delivery Officer will lead and oversee the execution of large-scale delivery programs, such as the Real-Time Rail and other significant programs, in support of Payments Canada's vision for a resilient, inclusive, and competitive Canadian payment ecosystem. This role will provide overall executive leadership for Payments Canada’s large-scale programs that are essential to ensuring safe, secure and resilient payment systems.

Jude Pinto brings more than 30 years of experience in senior- and executive-level leadership positions within the financial services sector where he successfully led business transformation and innovation, with a focus on operational excellence.

Prior to Payments Canada, Jude led JPintoAdvisory Inc., providing executive and industry advisory services related to payments and banking, strategic planning, digital transformation and performance optimization to evolve businesses alongside payment modernization. Previous to JPintoAdvisory, Jude held a variety of roles at CIBC, including the role of President INTRIA Items Inc., Technology, Innovation & Infrastructure, Chief Information Officer/Managing Director Technology, Operation and Corporate Services, CIBC First Caribbean, and SVP Retail Operations, Global Operations. Jude is a Chartered Management Accountant, a Chartered Professional Accountant; he has an MBA from Rotman School of Business; and, he holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
