Hawkins

Jennifer Hawkins is the Senior Vice President & Head of Emerging Businesses at BMO Financial Group. Appointed to this new role in February of 2022, she is responsible for providing thought leadership across areas of disruption within retail banking including open banking, payments evolution and merchant acquiring, and is a senior leader with over 25 years of expertise in payments strategy and innovation.

Since joining BMO in 2015 as the Head of North American Retail & Small Business Payments, Jennifer led an accelerated growth strategy and significantly grew portfolio revenues, improved customer experiences, and delivered long term cost savings for the business. Prior to joining BMO, she spent 20 years with Amex Bank of Canada, where she held increasingly senior roles leading their Merchant Services business and Consumer Cards & Partnerships group in Canada.

Jennifer has served as the Honorary Vice Chair for the Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting Princess Margaret Hospital and as Board Chair for both the Markham Stouffville Hospital and Junior Achievement of Central Ontario.

Jennifer received her MBA at the University of British Columbia along with her Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University. She resides in Toronto, Ontario.
