Fariba Rawhani is Chief Information Officer at Teranet, an international leader in electronic land registration and the exclusive provider of online property search and registration in Ontario and the Property Registry in Manitoba. In her role, she is responsible for the company’s full range of information technology functions including IT strategy, development and delivery, information security, digital transformation, automation, data governance and analytics, and cloud strategy.   

With over 20 years of success in industry-leading organizations, Fariba has held executive positions at EDS, CIBC and Home Capital Group. In all her past experiences, she played a key role in supporting the digital transformation agenda, process and technologies innovation, advanced analytics and machine learning, as well as enhanced governance and collaboration across technology and business units. Fariba brings a wealth of knowledge in leading global initiatives.     

She sits on several boards, including an International Technology board and the PRESTO committee of Metrolinx, and was a previous board member of YMCA and the former President of JusticeNet. With a particular interest in creating diverse and inclusive environments in Canada and across the world, Fariba regularly participates in CIO and leadership roundtables to offer her insight and to support her community. She is very passionate about providing growth opportunities to individuals of all levels and skill sets.   

Fariba holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business and studied Computer Science and Business Administration at the University of Vienna.
